Virtual Workout Classes

Below is the class schedule for the Elgin Recreation Center's Studio room. You may particiapte in classes if you are a member of the ERC or have payed a Daily Entree Fee of $5. Please ask the front desk to set up the virtual class if it has not been done so already. 

Aerobic/Dance Studio Guidelines

  • If classes are crowded, participants cannot reserve space or equipment for anyone not present.
  • Participants who enter a class after the warm up has concluded may be asked to leave.
  • Technology use is limited to only designated staff or current instructors.
  • In order to maximize space and ensure safety, participants are encouraged to store personal belongings in one of the locker areas or along to wall out of the way
  • For the comfort and safety of participants, a towel and water bottle is highly recommended for group fitness classes.
  • No cell phones are to be used inside of the studio during class instruction
  • The instructor reserves the right to ask a participant to leave for refusal to follow these policies.
  • Participants are encouraged to use cleaning towels to wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • Put away all equipment after use

Monday Class Schedule
8:30am - 9:00am
Cardio Kickboxing 1 (Get ready for some basic cardio kickboxing and an upper body blast. You will go after your goals in this workout)
9:30am - 10:30am
Power Pilates (Get ready for an attack on your core in this Pilates workout. For 45 minutes JR takes you through his favorite exercises from his Track and Football days)
12:00pm - 1:00pm
Yoga 1 Surya A (You will learn about the fundamentals that you will build upon for the future. If you're new to Yoga, this video is a must)
2:00pm - 2:45pm
Daily Burn Live Workout (Participate in a live workout with other people across the nation to reach your fitness goals)
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Senior Aerobics (Workout geared towards individuals who are 60 years of age and older)
6:30pm - 7:30pm
FREE Fitness Class with Jessica Ortiz (Come out and participate in a FREE instructor taught class that will work your entire body)
7:45pm - 8:30pm
Intense Abs (Short and effective, after this calorie-burning and stomach-toning workout, your abs will be throbbing. All you need is a water bottle, a yoga mat, and your core) 

Tuesday Class Schedule
8:30am - 9:15am
Cardio Tabata Transformation (These full body circuits of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest help you get the most out of your workout)                                                                         
10:30am - 11:30am
Senior Aerobics (Workout geared towards individuals who are 60 years of age and older)
12:00pm - 1:00pm
Yoga 8 Balance Flow (Here you will combine all the flows and challenge yourself further by balancing on both your feet and hands)
2:00pm - 2:45pm
Daily Burn Live Workout (Participate in a live workout with other people across the nation to reach your fitness goals)
4:30pm - 5:30pm
Moon Yoga (Instructor led yoga class by Sharon Moon)
6:00pm - 7:00pm
City Employee Only Workout (This time is designated for City Employees only)
7:30pm - 8:15pm
Core Crusher (Seriously work your abs and more with the Core Crusher! You will hit the six areas you need for a rock hard core - which is everything between your shoulders and hips)  

Wednesday Class Schedule
8:30am - 9:00am

9:30am - 10:30am

Yoga 3 Warrior 2 (In this yoga flow you build on previous sessions and add Warrior 2 to your practice)

Daily Burn 365 Class (Workout to a previous Live workout class and be ready to sweat hart)
6:00pm - 7:00pm
City Employee Only Workout (This time is designated for City Employees only)

True Beginner Shotokan (Using Shotokan Karate you will deepen your practice. The moves will connect your mind, body and breathing.)                                                                   
9:30am - 10:30am

Yoga 5 Shoulder Flow (Shoulder Flow focuses on your upper body. If you're used to carrying a bag or anything else on your shoulders you'll have stress buildup there. This flow will help release that as well as build upper body strength)
